I'm Alive, Here's what's to come...
I'm Alive, don't be alarmed... I've just been busy and sidetracked from my blog, which really is a ball buster. My goal for this year was to use my thoughts creatively and to express them fluidly. I have meant to update this blog on a daily or weekly basis and I have not done exactly what I've planned months back. I apologize to all that may have wanted an update on my life/philosophies/realizations/stories, but I plan on continuing to blog some more this week. I would not know when this will be exactly, but I'm trying to get myself to write more and this is something I must keep, as a skill and as a hobby. If I stop writing then I lose my ability, and without this creative ability then I drop into the bottom... the rock bottom of my life where I don't want to reach... Now with this in mind, here is a list in which I may touch upon here on this blog:

Let's Coexist
I am not a holy man. I don't follow my Roman Catholic religion like when I was a child and went through Catholic school. The thing is, I don't have anyone forcing me to study the religion and to follow it wholeheartedly anymore so I don't focus in on it like I might have in the past.
I went to church twice this week with my girlfriend Shari. The first visit was to get a feel of church once again, and to be apart of the uplifting community that religion tends to acquire. It makes sense after-all; all of these people in the church seem to have the same idea about life. My second visit was for Ash Wednesday, and as expected I received my ashes, as well as Shari. I didn't have time to contemplate religion this second time around because we were in a hurry to get my girlfriend to dance and with our minds elsewhere. During my first visit though, I was thinking hard about religion and the continuing brainwash I thought it was initiating from years past. I liked it. I enjoyed being sucked in with the feel of thinking that God is there to protect me, much like everyone else who surrounded me in the pews. I don't mean to show disgruntlement towards religion, but I continually will think of the term "brainwash" when I'm observing one religion and one religion solely. I'm a man of variety, options, and openness. I need a church where individuals would gather and worship spirituality in itself, and with the intentions of coexistence. Narrowing my visions on one religion just seems a bit ludicrous to me.
While reading, Essentials of Philosophy, I am coming to understand each religion a little more than I had previously. I'm a firm believer in diversifying our initial thoughts with life, and to go beyond and to educate ourselves with the information that's given to us in present day. We have religions such as; Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto, and Sufism to go along with smaller religions not specified, in today's present-day life/living. Coexistence has came up as a new religion to accept each religion and to not hate or love one over others. I love the idea of coexistence, and I would preach this more than anything else because of how true it is to me. As pupils we all must absorb every bit of information that we can, and grade school should definitely incorporate philosophy into their curriculum's because we can use more philosophizing minds, idolizing the idea of accepting others, and then to expand on collaborative ideas. But coexistence seems more like a philosophy to me than a religion (with that term "brainwash" come back to me). Each religion has much to offer for kids, especially when speaking of morality and virtues. Through the discrepancies we can find a common ground of understanding with these morals, virtues, and lessons, and come to understand the core of coexistence, the fundamental factor of religion/the essence of philosophy. A break from the religious norm from any religion would assist, as a mere suggestion of coexistence could do us all some good. I would like to emphasize that to coexist is a philosophical suggestion and that this should not humiliate anyone's religion. Anyone of us is subject to believe in God as another person is into believing he doesn't exist. Accepting one's beliefs is the first step to coexisting.

SCIENCE: It's All Around Us...
SCIENCE. It's all around us. As much as we may not think about it, there's a science involved in our everyday lives. Ranging from a study of a social class to an interdiscipline, chemical formulating science, we can't live without it. (What's been once discovered can't go missing.)
If you go about being a painter, you will use paint in a form of creation with a brush as your tool. A masterpiece awaits the moment the brush strokes the canvas, and the creation takes form. Precision, accuracy, meta-cognition, an end goal, a message; it all gives a purpose for the painter to bring the picture to life. In this instance the science comes through in the detail. Every brush stroke had a purpose to the work, and every color chosen holds a scheme. Science lies in the explanation or study that the artist has to say about his work, and how the details portray itself throughout. It relies on the correspondents in the artist's mindset. A lot can be said or the message can be fairly simple. You may be sitting here thinking that you could have gone through life without thinking this, but lets further explore the possibilities of science while I have you attention.
We all go through life with things given to us without thought; paper, pencils, desks, computers, water bottles, clothes. An average student does not have to heavily observe all of these articles around them and interpret their live cycles up to that given moment in time, it would be down-right ridiculous in fact. Too much thought into the manufacturing of each one of these items can give you a headache, but just enough thought can share some enlightenment. Normally all we have to think about with these items are their costs in terms of money and how to use them to our needs and advantages. Simply enough, we consistently sparcely give further application into account with these items around us in possible math/science problems. In science like chemistry we would have a question proposed on the idea of how many water molecules does it take to fill a water bottle, or trying to figure out the composition of a #2 pencil. Bearing heavy and profound eyes you can analyze these entities in a science like chemistry, physics, biochemistry, or physiology and bring a larger dynamic for the object and realize what impacts this object has done for you. The more you observe it, the more you analyze it all, you can come to the agreement that science is truly all around you.
Going back to the painter's persepctive on things, we will revisit his intentions of his painting into detail. In example I will utilize Michaelangelo's painting on the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. If you pull up the image on google, enlarge the picture to its largest size in pixels, you'll see every detail perceived. The story behind the painting was that God had created Adam, the first man, and he was releasing him to the ground below on to Earth. The fingers close in distance of each other depicts a lingering bond. The story of Adam and Eve proceeds into telling that they opened pandora's box for the rest of the world and God had every intention for the resulting events for that he does not make faults (according to the Christian Bible). The separation from Earth and Heaven is deemed as divinely and it is brought to life in Michaelangelo's piece. The cracks, the strokes, the color, and the mood that he clarified wholeheartedly brings a viewer's eyes in awe. The psyche of Michaelangelo intended for the most divine image for the Sistine Chapel, and this is what rests on the ceiling there, expressing a visual for everyone else to then admire and pray underneath at their pews. A true artist knew his intentions like a scientists in a laboratory. Prescision, accuracy, measurements, and a focused study on the work and you will realize how science incorporates into something that could seem so random.
I'm studying chemistry now in school, and it hit me now how important it is to my life while having aspirations in science. Like before, I mentioned that keen observation, and accurate applications of a study can interpret science in whole and unifty significance. Now that I understand the connotation of moles, and now know that molecules and elements are uniform however they appear in the macroscaled perspective, I can prove to be more serious in learning all possible applications chemistry can withhold. Now I look at an object and think of every element/molecule that must be needed for it to have its form. Even in biology, physiology, and anatomy, we can incorporate chemistry and physics into their realm and fully understand the mechanics and technicalities of a cell and its composition through precise measurement and observation. While being interdisciplinary science proves to be fascinating as it is possible each day. The limits are endless, existent long after my departure, and science will continue to enlighten all that have forgotten, journeying down its pathological way. Science is never lost, but knowledge to be gained.

Sam Harris: Science can answer moral questions | Video on TED.com
Sam Harris highlights on the facts and objectivity that science proves and provides in life. While we may have subjective thoughts and opposing viewpoints on several arguments, we have to refer to objectivity. Science; the observation and learning of the world around us can explain what is right and wrong. Many subjects like philosophy, religion, and culture, raise arguments of right and wrong. It isn't necessarily correct to argue these virtues, but instead to gather comparative ideas and gain an education in a whole. As far as morality, it's not correct to criticize one's life and how they live it. We can not say that one culture is better than another, but much better to bring ideas and beneficiary trades to inspire other cultures. It is not correct to have opposing ideas and to bring another person's idea to shame. What's the purpose of insults and this type of competition, to make selves feel better? It's an incorrect way of living, for damn sure. Mr. Harris alludes to the idea of reaching a common ground for some moral acts. How women should dress is just one example as to how cultures and religions should coexist and collaborate. It is the communication and the resulting collaboration of our communities that should take action and bring our world into a more inventive and open gathering. The more we discuss this issue, and the more we make advancements with science can we stay objective and reach this common ground. With this in mind, Sam and now I propose that we instead of praying to the heavens of the unknown, should gather more research on our societies and ecosystems and lead to a world of understand... A world where we can expand on our intelligence and know what is right and wrong while obtaining objectivity.

The Year Coming to an End
2010 is coming to an end, wow... I can't believe this year is ending and I can remember exactly a year back when i was thinking about how this year will turn out. "I feel in it my balls," my friends and I were saying, of course an optimistic feel that ended up giving us the confidence to be strong throughout the year ...And it work out for the most part. I did some things that I've never done before in 2010. I'm now in a relationship with my beautiful girlfriend Shari and we're 9 months in. This is new for me and it feels great to carry our relationship into the new year. She's black and this is where some of my troubles have came into play. My mother, a very Italian and traditional woman is still trying to come around to it, that I love this girl, she is a big part of my life now, and that I may very well end up marrying her. Shari has yet to meet my whole family, and well I wouldn't blame her for being hesitant in doing so. That's a story in itself.
I have also found out that history has repeated itself during the year 2010. School hasn't really changed. I have been lazy in my work, and I honestly thought that would change. I want to finish up and see school through to the end though. I also got myself into an apartment with a good friend of mine, but I don't have the money I thought I did when I first found this house in New Brunswick. I love the life I've lived in New Brunswick, but I may have to face the music, and listen to what that saying, "The party's over." So I'm on a job hunt now, trying to redeem myself from the mistakes I've made in 2010, and I'm gonna see things through this time around. 2010 has shown to me that like previous years, although I make some small changes in my life, I still wasn't as dedicated as I should have been. As you may guess, my New Year's Resolution is to see things through to the end, what I engage in. My girl just got me running shoes for Christmas and that was probably the best gift yet, cuz this me no excuse for running and working out at the gym. Along with that, I will write, stay strong emotionally, and make 2011 a year to remember. Although I'm turning 21 real soon, I'll make the partying short and sweet. I'm young, I have to enjoy myself once in a while, but I'm must be smart and be dedicated all year long.

First Step
Hello blogging world!
This is my first blog. I aspire to become a writer in the future and by the help of a good friend, I'm now addressing my thoughts and ideas onto the web. I may sound awkward or lost, and that's alright. I'm just trying to test this out and give it a try. Comment, criticize, do all you want, this is my first step as a blogger and essentially a writer, and I'm open to just about everything. Like I've mentioned, I aspire to write. I wish on making it someway somehow, and I feel my ideas are bright enough to make a statement in this world. As little as I am to the rest of you I'm looking to grow, and I'm willing to have any type of growth possible. Growth is maybe the biggest idea any of us can comment on. It's constant in not only human life, but life all around. With all growth, we make steps and goals. We accomplish these steps and goals, and set more to come. A new year is upon us, and it's time we make resolutions and change into something better. A goal of mine was to first create a blog, and now that I've done so I'm ready to grow and learn. This was my first step, and expect to see me expand and express myself more.
